Meet Mick Boogie,(The Commissioner),Mixtape King,Dj Specialist .Mick is Reppin the Mid-West(Ohio all day).He has knifed his own niche in the game and has stepped outside the box with his own brand and style.Which is why he was just awarded another Justo Mixtape Award.We caught up with him for little Q & A.Heres what happened.

1.ARE YOU SIGNED TO ANY LABEL OR GROUP AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DJING?

10 years and no... no label yet... I do rep my crew tho, The League.

2.WHO ARE YOUR TOP 5 MIXTAPE DJ'S AND WHY?

Green Lantern... most creative ever.
Drama... changed the game.
Funk Flex... 60 Min of Funk inspired me to dj.
Neil Armstrong... genius originals.
Clue... made mixtapes mainstream.

3.HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT TODAYS HIP HOP,AND WHEN I SAY THAT I MEAN IT ALL THE HOT SHIT THE WACK SHIT....HIP HOP AS A WHOLE ?

It's a lil wack but if you dig, you can find good stuff.... you just have to look harder.

4.HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT MIXTAPES GAME TODAY ?

I'm kinda out of it now. I do selected mix downloads with people I am fans of, but that's about it. It's so watered down.... lotta corny stuff. But there are still some creative people out there.

5.HOW DID YOU FEEL WHEN DJ DRAMA GOT INTO HIS SITUATION WITH THE RIAA?

Well, first of all, those guys are friends of mine…so I was hoping they were ok. With that said…I think, ultimately, this may help mixtapes. Actual rules on what can/can’t be done on mixtapes, more awareness of the power of mixtapes and maybe even more major label support for the projects they are already funding secretly.

6.DO YOU THINK,THE INTERNET IS DESTROYING HIP HOP,LIKE MANY PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT?

Not at all. It's helping. It's a worldwide community all bound together by music now. It's amazing and uncanny. I get emails everyday from people around the world cause of hiphop on the internet. It's a blessing.

7.HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT WHERE YOUR AT IN YOUR CAREER THUS FAR?

Pretty happy but I have so many other goals... I want to get to a DJ AM or Mark Ronson level when it comes to clubs and touring... that's my next focus.

8.FAV. BIGGIE JOINT AND WHY?

Unbelievable. Primo killed it...Biggie talked that shit... and it's still timeless to this day.

9.FAV. TUPAC JOINT AND WHY?

I Get Around. I love Digital Underground and it was nice to see the lighthearted side of Pac before his inner demons took over.

10.MARIAH CAREY OR CARMEN ELECTRA

Neither. Eva Mendez.

12 DO YOU THINK A PROMOTION SITE LIKE THIS WILL BE HELPFUL FOR ARTIST AND DJ'S,AND FANS WHO WANT TO ESCAPE FROM THE SO CALLED HIP HOP,THAT THEY PLAY ALL DAY ON T.V?

Totally. It's all about alternatives and diversity. People should be free to make their own decisions about what they like, whether its J-Live or Gucci Mane.

40% creativity. 40% skills. 20% hardwork.

14.WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM YOU IN THE FUTURE?

More mix projects. More touring. International dates coming soon. And I'm moving from Cleveland to NYC so I'm pretty excited.
