Stricklee Hip Hop Artist Promo & Mp3 Pool

For those of you new to this site allow me to introduce you to another real MC,Joe Scudda(North Kack stand up).I been rocking with Joe for a couple of years and I'm never let down by his flow.Everytime I listen to him he reminds me about what real hip hop is and why I stared this site.I caught up with him for a little Q and A Stricklee style.You should know how I do by now.

1.FOR THOSE THAT DONT KNOW WHAT LABEL OR GROUP ARE YOU SIGNED TO PRESENTLY?

2.HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT TODAYS HIP HOP,AND WHEN I SAY THAT I MEAN IT ALL THE HOT SHIT THE WACK SHIT....HIP HOP AS A WHOLE AND ITS DIRECTION?

It has its good and its bad. Sometimes it does seem that all the bad shit is getting played a million times but the dope shit doesnt get any burn. But on the other hand you got the dope shit and nobody wants to buy it so thats why it doesnt get burn. I think its wack that people bitch about whats on the radio or TV....but when an artist that is REALLY dope drops an album.....they dont support it and buy it! I think a big problem right now is.....THERE ARE NOT ANY MORE FANS OF HIP HOP LEFT!!!!! Everybody raps, or produces or knows somebody that does both. So everybody is listening to stuff thinking....MAN..I BETTER THAN THAT GUY...fuck him. Its true because I used to be that guy..lol. When I first got into hip hop...rapping didnt even cross my mind....I was just listening to the music think how dope it was cats could do this.....THEN...I started to rhyme and I found myself looking at music and rappers different. Thinkin...IM NICE.....He's not nice...THIS SHIT IS WACK!!! Not really giving it a fare listen cause from jump I had my mind made up I was better. I had to step back like "Wow...im buggin" As far as Direction is going.....I think its becoming cool be be yourself now. Alot of different people and doing music together than wouldnt have happened years ago...so thats dope.

3.AS A UNDERGROUND ARTIST ,IS IT HARDER FOR YOU TO GET YOUR MUSIC TO THE MASSES,OR ARE THINGS STARTING TO SWING YOUR WAY?

Oh its harder. When you do have that major label push for that promotion its gonna be harder. You just have to find ways around it and ways to make stuff work for you. Thats why people hit the internet so hard now. Even street cats know how to get on the net and check email or myspace...lol

4.HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT MIXTAPES.

I grew up on mixtapes! The old Clue tapes that just had the question mark on them. We had a spot down here called Mr. Freeze that was right by the court house. Everytime I had to go to court I would pick up 6 or 7 of them. Juice & Doo Wop. They are a good marketing tool when used right......they can also be a pain in the ass...lol. Alot of people dont put time into them so it ends up just being a bunch of noise. But a mixtape is a good way to get ya stuff out...or ya single that might not get any run on the radio and then a DJ makes it pop.

5.DO YOU THINK,THE INTERNET IS DESTROYING HIP HOP,LIKE MANY PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT?

Double edged sword right there!! Sure its killing record sales and stuff like that. But shit...when you charge damn near 20 bucks for an album that had two songs on it....what do think people are gonna do?? So for people already in the game before the internet craze happend....im sure they are pissed. But for people like me...IF IT WASNT FOR THE INTERNET....THERE WOULD NOT BE A JOE SCUDDA!! or alot of other people out there. So how mad can I really be at something that made me. Its the reason people in Cali know me...or the reason I have a bootleg being sold in Japan!!! Once again....just have to embrace it and make it work for you. You cant fight progress or you get left in the dust!! Thats like bitching about ipods and saying your still gonna rock with the walkmans.....well buddy....they dont even make tapes anymore.....YOUR SCREWED!!! lol

6.HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT WHERE YOUR AT IN YOUR CAREER THUS FAR,AND WHERE TO YOU ULTIMATELY WANT TO TAKE IT?

I hate where Im at. Sure im a little further than some people I know but the day you think you made it is the day your ass gonna fall off! I havent even put an album out yet so Hell No im not happy. I have been able to see the US....go overseas....do some acting on TV....but I wanna do so much more!!! I wanna own my own business....I wanna buy a house! I wanna be able to look back on my life when its all said and done with and be able to say"I did it all....I used everything god gave me!!"

WOW...thats hard as hell. I always liked WARNING alot. I just felt like I could see everything he was talking about. Thats the one that popped in my head first.

9.SANNI LATHAN OR NIA LONG AND WHY?

Come on man..thats like asking which one of my nuts I wanna keep. I LOVE EM BOTH!! lolol Ill give the slight edge to Ms. Lathan...I have always LOVED her!! Love & Basketball & Brown Sugar......WOW!! Plus she reminds me of the type of chicks I date. Yo...that movie she was in with Denzel. I cant remember the name....GET THE DVD and watch her in the special features reading for the part!!!!!MAANNN.....you might not wanna have company over while you watch it! AwwwLRIGHT!

I never understood why radio and TV blast the rappers in hip hop but never say shit about the people selling it!!!!! Its all negative because thats all they show!! Nobody shows the stuff TI might do for the community or what Snoop does for the kids....all they show is TI GETS BUSTED WITH GUNS.....SNOOP DID THIS OR THAT! FUCK BILL OLREILY while im at it.
